1000-1100: Pre-clinical imaging platforms for small animals
Product Manager for the Animal Science Division
Interscience Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia.
Biodata: A product specialist from Interscience Sdn Bhd and currently serves as Product Manager for the Animal Science Division. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology from Monash University and was previously attached to the stem cell service provider, CellSafe International. Since this time, Ben Yong has developed a passion in providing solutions for animal research to Universities, Research Groups and Organizations.
Synopsis of the talk: Research using small animals have long been established as ‘translational’ precursors before actual Clinical Trials are performed on humans. At present, the industry has made available a range of powerful Animal Imaging systems, each with its own distinctions in different application fields. Researchers should be made aware that not all technologies involve sacrificing of the animals, which may affect or alter the accountability of their results.
