Being acknowledged as the Research University (RU), the faculty and university put research at forefront of our pursuit of academic excellence. We realise that expanding knowledge through exploring on research activities is the key to achieve excellence in the field of medicine and biomedical sciences. More pertinently, greater understanding of the biological basis of neurological disease and normal states is fundamental for the improvement of patient management at present and future for betterment of mankind and nation advancement.
With the advent of high-throughput technologies and high-resolution imaging techniques, neuroscientists today have an array of tools to examine and characterise the molecules, genes and cells that constitute the complex brain system network. Therefore, it is crucial that we obtain the research updates of the current leading edge research methods and discoveries from time to time. For that, the faculty is really pleased by The Neuroscience Cluster, formed by a small group of academicians with self-driven initiative and with different research interests under the neuroscience umbrella.
The members are highly committed to their mission in imparting better knowledge of neuroscience to our students during the Monthly Neuroscience Seminar Series. We recognise that today’s seminar will be a catalyst to integrate and consolidate both clinical and lab-based researches to take the field of neuroscience to another level.
The faculty also extends a warm welcome to all the speakers. We appreciate your presence and experience in our shared quest for excellence in the research world of neuroscience. To our foreign guests, we hope that you will experience the Malaysian gracious hospitality and you must spare some time to enjoy the beautiful sights around Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya after the seminar.
