INTRODUCTION
NeuroFair 2013 is a 2-day event consists of a full day scientific seminar followed by another day full with activities related to the brain (exhibition, games, video screening, competition, health seminars, patient care seminars and laboratory visit). Since 2010, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM, and the Neuroscience Research Cluster, UPM, have been organising the scientific seminar with the aim to uplift the Neuroscience field to a greater level in the country as well as promote research collaborations between clinicians and scientists. In the past years, the organiser had imposed no registration fees to all participants mainly to encourage participants from various professions to join the seminar without the constraint of funding limitations. The previous seminar was overwhelmed with nearly 350 participants from various backgrounds or engagements in Neuroscience field. This year, we expect to gather more than 300 participants from around the country and aim to foster greater scientific collaborations locally as well as internationally.

The full-day scientific seminar on 11 June 2013 is jointly organised by the Basic Neuroscience Chapter of Malaysian Society of Neurosciences and will serve as a satellite event to MSN Neuroscience 2013 Conference in Kuching, Sarawak from 14-16 June 2013. This year, the organising committee will invite 8-9 speakers from both clinical and fundamental neurosciences field to deliver their research findings. On the second day (12 June 2013), many activities will be organised in collaborations with various departments in the faculty and NGOs from the country. The aim of these activities is to increase awareness about our brain and nervous-system health-related issues.

Day 1 programme - 3rd Annual Neuroscience Seminar 2013:
  • April 7, 2013 - First announcement of the seminar
  • May 15, 2013 (Extended to May 20, 2013)- Deadline for abstract submission
  • May 31, 2013 - Confirmation of Acceptance of abstracts for poster session
  • June 7, 2013 - Last day for NeuroFair 2013 registration & payment
  • June 11, 2013 - Registration for WALK-IN participants (Only seats are still available)

Day 2 programme (Those who register for Day 1 programme are automatically registered for all Day 2 programme):
  • April 7, 2013 - First announcement of the seminar
  • June 7, 2013 - Last day for NeuroFair 2013 registration
  • June 12, 2013 - Registration for WALK-IN participants (Only seats are still available)
